you need to be able to vote in eu parliament elections but electric identification isn't required by any nation and the validity will only be checked afterwards

some people keep lying about it being verified from the moment it is signed to make people think that they shouldn't try to get more than a million signatures. even the eu commission ECL site tells to collect more than the required amount and that is even for initiatives that don't have loads of people trying to oppose them
