Tank crew from the Alexander Nevsky Brigade carried out a gun barrel replacement on their T-72B3 tank.
At the start, the interior of the old barrel is shown, revealing the extent of wear caused by intensive use. By the time of filming, the thermal insulation sleeve had already been removed. The fume extractor, which channels propellant gases away from the breech, was the last component left to be dismantled.
The barrel is unscrewed using a sledgehammer and the crane of a maintenance vehicle.
