Women have always seen themselves as being in control of their "communities", meaning being preoccupied with what men are doing if it doesn't directly benefit them in any way. If you've noticed this overuse of "our community" terminology recently, that's why.
They use this "community" excuse to place themselves in power and grant themselves influence over what they see as "their community", be it a mod position, owners association leadership position or neighborhood watch, etc. Of course if men also police women's behavior, that's called misogyny, sexism, patriarchy, you see, it just so happens that women lording over you in managerial and leadership positions is how society should work of course. Source? Women themselves. Haven't you heard by now that if women ruled the world, it would be so much better? See?
