>There isn't an alternative reality where Germany didn't invade Poland
And there isn't an alternate reality where Britain and France didn't declare war on Germany and not the Soviet Union for doing the exact same thing.

Churchill himself (as well as historians) said that if not for Churchill, the UK almost certainly would've accepted the peace offer that Germany gave. It was really clear that Hitler didn't want to threaten England. He even offered to have Germans defend the colonies of Britain to make sure the British Empire would stay afloat. Hitler stopped several negative broadcasts towards the Anglos because he said they 'ought to think of centuries, and the yellow peril might be the most dangerous foe the White man could face'. It was clear Hitler wasn't going to threaten the British Empire. Churchill had a personal hatred against Germany, admittedly not all too rare in the UK, but he went to fight a war that even then anyone could've told you Britain itself would only lose out on.

Churchill personally betrayed all of his ideals, only to die a pathetic death watching non-Whites stream into his country from his window after leading a failed campaign under the name "Keep England White". He knew Britain was going in giant debts to fight a war he personally chose to fight. He knew the empire was at the very least at risk of becoming unstable. He knew Britain would have the rely on the aid of the US for a long time after that, completely shattering the 'BoP' argument. He sold Poland, for the independence of which Britain went to war, to the Soviets, together with the rest of Eastern Europe. By letting the Soviets, who he knew murdered more people prior to WW2 than he claimed Hitler did during, take all of Eastern Europe, and put Britain at the weakest position it ever had in modern history.
