That plus some expired junk food you get from the food pantry feeds 100 birds? I've always bought grain by the ton when I raise up a round for meat.

Mostly from the general store, but I get dairy from a local farm, raise some things myself occasionally and get a little bit from gardening and my neighbor generally hunts up more deer than he can eat so I get a fair bit of venison.
It's really not all that difficult to work, earn money, and buy food and I enjoy more of a variety in my diet than eggs and 4 year old mongrel laying hens that you need to boil for 3 hours to make fit for soup.
