Any of you know if this is a puzzle or just one of the many areas in this region you can paint but doesn't do anything? The flowers around the clear crystal seed thing were colorless, I thought alternating between yellow and orange would work but nothing

It's what I hate most about this area, so many things to paint that do fuck all but a lot more that actually reward you
