Think about it. They have to play 3-4 days a week. During off days, they need to rest or at most just do some light basketball drills so that they have enough energy to play the actual games.

And resistance training requires at least 1-2 days of rest. How are they even gonna fit their gym training into their schedules?

The only logical way is to use steroids to speed up the recovery
