I wouldn't call it retconned (yet). It just skipped to Hanna looking broken down the street (but hard to know if it will ever get referenced). The story too avoids showing Mikoto except in CGs but I wonder if that's just the devs scrambling on how to pull off her glass-like hair with how they handle lightning and shading for Live2D in Exedra. Also, do any other stories end with an ominous voice like Hanna's? That didn't seem to be Mikoto.
