Ginga Eiyuu Densetsu is among my favorite anime, but its romantic subplots are kind of shit. Except for these two boys. Surely the fujobaiting was intentional. It couldn't not have been. The PDA, the level of obsession, the gap in masculinity between them. They knew what they were doing and as such pulled off a depiction far more organic and compelling than any other relationship in the series. Annerose and Hilde ain't shit. These prettyboys are fucking gay, prancing lala homo men. I will fight anyone who would assert otherwise. The authorial intent was there to make it look gay. Kircheis's minor infatuation to Annerose is a footnote in the face of his devotion to Reinhard. Reinhard's marriage to Hilde was a matter of pragmatism, not love. Insecure hetfags insisting it's purely platonic or brotherly as if that isn't what makes it so good in the first place, as it outshines every other relationship in the series, and they have to claim "no homo" as an excuse every time they touch as if words speak louder than actions. This is my BL flagship and I will entertain absolutely no denial.

I don't imagine this anything out of the ordinary except for the fact that [spoiler]I'm actually a colossal yurifriend and I don't really consume BL.[/spoiler] Anyone else experience that odd compulsion to ship any one specific thing that's normally completely out of your wheelhouse? Also I cannot for the life of me find fanart that is on model with the OVA; it's criminal.
