Its not that its "harder" its that its such an awkward position for your subject to be in generally. I mean look at all these other fucking examples posted but only this one >>7644268 actually matches what your description is, all the others have something going on like they are lookin away or are moving or at a slight angle.
Unless you are drawing a medical book with like that anatomical stance all the science books use, you shouldnt really be avoiding this position if it can be helped. I was in a class with an old Disney animator who was tasked with doing these direct to DVD animations and he did a lot of these one on one segments with the princess's, and they all are awkward. If you look at the animation its not for lack of trying, its just an awkward position to be in.
