I'm amused that of all the laser guns M16 could've gotten, she still chose to go with her usual gu, grenades, and phone to call up motorcycles to crash into people. She doesn't add things to it, she doesn't try and swap out parts or modernize a weapon older than just about everyone alive in the present setting, she just rolls with it.
