I'm not American, but from what I've seen online, people across the political spectrum wanted accountability in the Epstein case.
The difference was that Trump specifically campaigned on releasing the Epstein files and client list. Biden/Kamala never made this a campaign promise, so there wasn't the same expectation. That doesn't mean their supporters didn't care about justice, they just weren't promised specific document releases.
The real issue is Trump made the Epstein list a selling point to voters. Him backing down shows he's either a liar or compromised. Makes me think he didn't even want to be president again, probably just wanted to milk money out of MAGA followers.
