it really depends, boredom is a reason sometimes, but hate? nah, and it's not much effort tb
other times I simply hate a certain topic or ritualpost flooding the thread, but there are other ways to derail that
while I don't do it out of hate (if I hate someone, which is rare, I take a different approach), sometimes it can be out of spite because some ebin does something I dislike, like astroturfing their own threadcred by samefagging and/or telling people on discord and in game to give them replies to boost the post
I also dislike hypocrites, especially the arrogant and abrasive ones, so if nobody's saying something good about them, I do it first and then reply with things calling them out

however, before people start trying to think of recent examples and pointlessly try to guess something I did and who I am, I haven't done anything like that in months
not that I stopped doing it, but it's been going too far and not in a fun way recently

oh and I do avoid it when it's someone I believe is being treated unfairly
some banter and shitposting can be entertaining, but some harmless people get straight up bullied out of here, and I'm not about that
