With AL you can very reliably get every new bote just by doing dailies because the rates are very forgiving and you get a ton of free cubes, the only way to miss out on content is either by being so new that you're forced to ration your cubes/coins or by dropping the game. That's why you feel like playing forever so you don't miss out on anything.
Meanwhile every other gacha out there has rates so shit that you're lucky if you get something before hitting pity, only whales can really be completionists.
