There's another story I really like about a kid who is autistically obsessed with the law to the point all he does is recite various codes and watch Judge Pal all day. As it goes, he gets into a hostage situation and recites the code about allowing Judges to cause minimal harm to bystanders in order to stop criminals, giving Dredd the signal to shoot him through the ear and kill the hostage taker. I'd post it if I could remember the damn prog or megazine it was in.
