Many a philosopher has asked this question over the millennia. The reality is that many of them are simply literally, biologically incapable of "putting the shoe on the other foot". Everything they perceive in the world goes through the lens of their eyes only and they can only understand others by projecting what THEY feel and like rather than being able to imagine what the other person likes or experiences. Which is why they become terrified when around people with different worldviews.
So from her perspective what she personally likes is always good and should be de facto and what other people like that she does not should be destroyed. Even if that thing is completely normal and widespread. It's like natural narcissism where she doesn't even realize she's being narcissistic or manipulative; it's just her nature.
"Girl that men are drooling over that doesn't look like me? I MUST DESTROY IT"
