Both are great, I don't take it a as dichotomy. Personally, I prefer cats, they are the mystical, pensive man's pet...deep thinkers, natural telepaths, cute, clean, self-sufficient, self-cleaning, always poised, masters of the present moment and their space. If a cat chooses you, it is because you are a very special Fren. They are quietly with you even when you are not there. With a cat, a house becomes a home.
