It has never been as bad as that one patch of Dark Souls 2 when numbness was busted.
But then again Elden Ring killed all meaningful multiplayer with the complete mismatch of open world and invasions/co-op (to the point people need a mod to make it bearable), while also gutting covenants in the game with the perfect lore/structure for it with all the in-game factions.
