>has it aged well?
TL;DR? Yes, it has aged well because that's all there is.

Now for the long version... There's the X manga, about the end of the world about to occur in 1999 AD, which ran from 1992 to 2003 when it entered hiatus and remains unfinished for the reasons in pic related, which seemed to have left them demotivated and disengaged. I think it's very good and one of my favourites regarding story and setting. Old /a/ would claim it's unfriendly because of how busy the drawings are, so if you're not used to CLAMP stuff, it might be difficult to get into. If you have read BLAME, then your eyes are ready. This was adapted a few times.
>movie
First, there's the 1993 music video movie preview "X2: Double X" (X2 ダブルエックス), which is what I posted in >>533986415 (https://youtu.be/vzyXaLpwjjY), which preceded the 1996 movie X/1999. The music video is technically its own thing, more like a prequel / showcase, and it's not a trailer for the movie per se since nothing that happens in that video happens in the same way in the movie (or at all), which is what I meant by "that's all there is". The movie is considered to be flashy and cool, but a bit cramped because it tries to force so much in 90 minutes. I think it aged well.
>anime
There's also the 2001 OVA, called X - Episode 0: Omen (-エックス-第零話 予兆), which is a prequel for the anime (−エックス−) which aired later that year. Considered once upon a time edgekino-core, I also think it aged well... but some people were and still might be dissatisfied about the anime-original ending since the manga was never finished. Some claim the ending had CLAMP's blessing, but I don't recall evidence of that, if even true. There's also Tokyo Babylon (older manga from CLAMP), which ties in with the anime somewhat, but this is already complicated enough so don't bother unless you're jumping in.
