Even IF my some miracle governments don't stumble and jam their dicks into a wood chipper, it would have zero capacity to be retroactive or force developers to do anything so all existing online-only games will be fine to get shut down at will and vanish into the aether stealing your money forever. Basically all it wants regarding online-only games is the ability (for new games that get made in the future) to either release their server binaries upon the games death so people can host their own private servers. Something people have been doing for fucking eternity.
