Obviously you need to consider your optiions carefully and not do anything foolish, but I was passed over for a promotion (that I was quite obviously the most tenured and qualified candidate for, not even frontin' or anything) at one of my old gigs, so I immediately began searching for a new gig and found a better paying job in the same field that required me to do less work within less than month, and it was less than 5 minutes away from my existing job.
