Spend your money however you want in your home but my experience is that these man caves get used only a couple of times a year. They're mostly based on the teenage dreams of boys that when realized as men, are nowhere near as much fun as imagined. Also because many of your friends will have their own man cave, you're not going to be able to get them to come over frequently to hang out in your cave.
If you fell into this trap, don't feel too bad. This has been going on since at least the 1970s when men were adding basement bars to their houses. They played out the same way, with friends coming over for the grand reveal and then a couple of times after that but then quickly falling into disuse.
