If you think about it Fap kinda did Hello Abyss stuff right away, she was just too shy. What's the first stuff she does? She makes the weird fucked-up butthole-hair totems as a ward against animals, and then she takes Riko's unrefined white whistle to have its true form brought out. She shows up, casts ward on the party, helps them upgrade Riko's equipment, and takes off. Don't like lots of eyes.
