ASOIAF (masterclass in Machiavellianism!!!!!! Plus just fun and diverting. Very 'spotty' though, but it's so complicated you can get a solid decade out of all the layered detailed George adds in, thousands of foreshadowing and call back references. I mean.... thousands! I'm 8 year in, probably 100 relistens, still finding new details. Seriously. The writing itself isn't the draw, sometimes good, rarely great, sometimes horrible, occasionally nonsensical which is funny...laughing good-natured hearing the well known faults!
