This isn't the end goal though. It's just to lock internet pornography onto the approved sites with approved content that they can monetize. 95% of porn games are indie. AAA companies don't have (and will not have) anything to do with them. Sites like patreon, pixiv and free uploads on pornhub (and the like) don't make them any money.
The goal isn't to make pornography illegal, it's to consolidate a market from one that currently has lots of of individuals and a large amount of free content to one that involves only corporations and everything is pay-to-play.
Why do you think we're getting a sudden crackdown now when for decades - in a much more puritanical society - things like Playboy, hotel porno channels and sex shops were allowed to roam free? Because those things made companies money. All this independent porn makes them nothing and offers a higher-quality, free product in comparison to their ugly, expensive one.
