The black bars still appear for attack animations. If you leave the game idle for a while and open it back up so the splash screen has to load up, you can get a glitched full screen, but some assets are literally cut off in the game's files so the only solution would be for them to mod every unit the game true full screen support which won't happen with them still fucking up every new unit this way.
