Nibelung is Phanes, the primordial one and the second descender.
Descender status is granted based on reaching galaxy brain enlightenment.
Heavenly principles is an artificial lifeform formed from the wishes and prayers of her people and is the first descender. She set out to find a new home for them after their world was destroyed.
Voyager is a genderless abyssal ego, tricked Nibelung into leaving Teyvat and sowed the seeds of rebellion in the angels to take down HP. The moons falling is also Voyager's doing. HP vs Nibelung didn't escalate into a full on war until the seelies rebelled and the War of Vengeance began. The angels were reduced to seelies because their bodies were corrupted by the abyss. Nibelung compromised with HP to save Teyvat and sacrificed his power in the process to create the gnoses.

There was definitely some shit going on in Khaenriah.
The Universitas Magistrorum referred to Irmin as "Almighty Sovereign" and he also held the same title Nibelung had during the War of Vengeance, Vinster King/Dark King. Irmin also had a fuckton of forbidden knowledge and ways to acquire more despite Nibelung sealing off Teyvat from the rest of the universe during the WoV somehow.
It doesn't add up, or it does but it just becomes super convoluted. Khaenrians have the same "stars in eyes" as Voyager did, so a possible conclusion is that they're his descendants. But then where does the dragon worship come into the picture? Nibelung and Voyager had a falling out after the former's fight with Phanes trashed the seelie city. Voyager was even the one to bail out Phanes when Phanes lost power and couldn't restrain the abyss and forged the gnosis with Nibelung's corpse. To make matters worse, Irmin was completely deranged, more so than even the sinners knew and his influence is still felt to this day. Irmin wanted to destroy Celestia and plunge Teyvat into the abyss. Irmin also somehow had knowledge of the twins, their powers and their origins. And lets not even get into how the Crimson Moon was just casually hanging out in Khaenriah for centuries, yet all of a sudden one day just disappeared and was replaced with the Eclipse Sun. We need more info on the Balemoon dynasty and why the switch to the Eclipse dynasty happened.
