At this point I think now that it won't be the "bad aliens invading Earth" but the "good aliens coming to help us". They will appear as the "Galactic Federation" or such, and say that humanity is doing bad, causing climate change and such, and that we have to do better. And then there will be the biggest media psyop to create a world government, to represent Earth in the galaxy, and humanity has to unite now, and overcome all old ideas of nationality and race and culture. And probably most people will buy it.
