The thing is that tax office tends to think that part of that retail value belongs to them and they get pissed if you sell for less. so much for freemarket and competition
"Money laundering" is a broad spectrum. If you sell your old nintendo game on a marketplace and some guy who happens to be a drugdealer buys it and pays with cash. you are already laundering money. literally everyone can be accused of money laundering.

The amount of tax they are paying is insane.
