Your cabin is too crowded to talk to Phascomon out loud, so you message him instead. He speaks out loud while you send messages to your Digivice through your screen.

"What do you think?"

"Roomier than I thought. I thought people would be squished inside."

"The short-distance trains are crowded. These ones need to be a bit more comfortable, because they go all across the city."

"I don't get it. Why don't they let people just shift coordinates from one place to another? I'm sure they've got the technology."

"I haven't gotten a straight answer from a bot before. But I think they just don't want it to be so easily accessible. It's a high-level software function."

"Would be much simpler if you didn't need all these train networks."

"Yeah. Lots of stuff here to optimize..."

The interior of this train is far more comfortable than riding on top, with heated seats and plenty of leg room. You take to looking outside the window, watching the view zoom past. The data trails in the eternal night sky whiz by at a dizzying pace. By now, the pillar of light from your last mission has dissipated, leaving only the Tower to stand firm and eternal. You watch it go further and further away, barely shrinking even as your train takes you kilometers into the distance.

"We're here!"

"Finally! I was sick of that view."

During the last couple of minutes, the scenery changed abruptly. The buildings abruptly got shorter and shorter, before ceasing entirely and giving way to flat land. It's completely flat, even. No shrubs, no rocky terrain, no foliage, nothing. It's just a barebones portion of the map, that goes from the concrete ground to the same low-ish poly color that makes up the floor of parks. Maybe a bit more yellowish-green.

"This is what we came to see?" He asks, disappointed.

"It gets a bit better. I think. Look over there."

The train is slowing down significantly, preparing to pull into a station. The ground here finally has grass. It's disorienting to stare at it for too long, as only three grass models are rendered. The small grass forms tufts of three, spreading out far and wide. The medium ones are scattered about in clumps as well, perfect duplicates of each other. Then the tall grass sprouts are intermittent and placed randomly.

You get out of your seat and reach upwards, your fingers managing to hook the handlebar when you tiptoe. The train slows down little by little, making a smooth stop while you sway from side to side.

"Thank you for riding with us, dear commuters! Please exit the vehicle in a timely fashion, and do remember to claim your belongings!"
