Zelenskyy Condemns Deadly Russian Airstrikes Ahead of UK Visit

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy condemned a deadly overnight barrage of Russian drones and missiles that killed at least nine civilians across the country, hours before he was scheduled to visit the United Kingdom for talks with partners.
In a statement, Zelenskyy drew a sharp contrast between Moscow's vocal criticism of recent strikes on Iranian nuclear sites and its silence regarding its own attacks on Ukrainian cities. "Today, Moscow is silent," he said, accusing Russia of launching a "cynical" assault on civilian infrastructure in Kyiv and other regions.
The president warned of a growing threat from a "coalition of murderers," referencing Russia, Iran, and North Korea, and questioned the security of neighboring states. "Everyone... should think about whether they can protect life if this coalition... continues to spread terror," Zelenskyy stated.
Officials confirmed that the widespread attacks left more than 40 people injured. Zelenskyy's visit to Britain is expected to focus on securing enhanced defense support and imposing new, stronger pressure on Russia to halt the attacks.
