We have that shit for EVERY word, basically.

You lost it at some point during empire-building.
The empire crumbled, the pidgin remained.

Anyway, Ukranian language also has "thou, but thou as in - I'm actively addressing thou" case.
It's a special case, because whereas other cases can be used to answer questions "who?\whom?\to whom?", this one literally cannot.

It's clearly a later addition onto a bastardised Russian language.
