Crazy execution is mostly needed for the most advanced combos. Yet, even very basic combos require a bit more timing than usual, and said timing can vary a lot depending on height and distance. So you'll likely drop a combo more often than you'd usually do with most other characters.
>Is her neutral bad?
It's not bad but it's not exactly great either. She gets outclassed in neutral by a lot of characters and she barely has any plus frames on her specials. No neutral skip, non-threatening pressure outside of her oki-setups.
>Is her defense bad?
Her M-button is notoriously sluggish and her Rhapsody has more holes than the usual defensive special. Yes, you can combo from it, but it's certainly not the most safe special and it requires an additional knowledge/reaction check from the Zeta. With the nerf some patches ago, it also needs to be timed more strictly.
Scream at me for downplaying. Zeta is a very strong character, but she also has flaws. And that's great. She is a well-designed character.
