I'm conflicted on letting him be a regular for spin-offs because it'll ruin the mystique he has as one of the few actually threatening Nintendo villains. Imagine if there was a Zelda game where Ganondorf is taking part in some minigame alongside Link. It would be funny to see, but it'd make it harder to believe that he's the King of Evil from now on when everyone can just point to that moment in time and deny it.
