Chinaland and nonstop Shifu wanking was the first time I ever skipped dialogue in ZZZ. Yes, not even Astra's dumbfuck quest was this bad.
I do believe the Hugo inner demons part was worse than anything 2.0 had to offer but 2.0's story really felt uninspired. They really have no goddamn idea what do to with this game anymore and are winging it as they go.
I trust it will get better though. Chinaland chapters have been consistently shit in basically every single Hoyo game, so I trust this is an one-off.

Yeah, that's exactly my main problem. I liked ZZZ when it was mostly outlaw hacker vigilante stuff with the cunning hares, but now it just feels like i'm playing a completely different genre. But I guess schizophrenic storytelling like this is par for the course for Hoyo games, with HSR constantly jumping between sci-fi, chinese spiritualism and traditional fantasy and Genshin jumping from pure drama to shonen.
I just *really* don't like cultivation. Don't like either cultivation or chinese traditionalism.
