Nearing the end of LR and yeah, it feels like a game-long DLC for World with more detailed environments. Monsters are great, music is great, maps are great, gameplay is about the same, "story / characters" are unbearable dogshit and so much worse than World because some fuckhead at Crapcom wanted to double down on narrative bullshit instead of ease off, and they evidently hired some triple fuckhead diversity consultant to fuck everything up real good for good measure (I kid you not, there's a part where some tribal locals ask some dood to fix their shit, he does, it goes horribly, then when you next speak to him you're forced to not only reprimand him because there's no way brown people could be wrong, but he shrugs and says "I habe le autism lole whoopsie plz understand"). It's sigh inducing at best.
At this point, I'm just waiting for the story bullshit to end so I can get into HR and hunt in peace.
I usually go by $1/hour as value, and so far it's done that in terms of content. If you're a hardcore, then get it so you can ride the wave, if you're more the kind of person who hunts a monster once then never wants to see it again and don't care about postgame, I'd pirate offline then wait for a sale to buy it legit for the online content once there's something to do.
