basically the germans had such good facilities for the prisoners the ((allied)) pilots though they were for military training and bombed them
in fact you can see from some of the ((allied)) took pictures from the liberations of the camps that they've been bombed
they kept the craters themselves out of frame, but you can see the blast effects in trees in many of the pictures, all bowing to the same direction and have branches ripped off from result of blast wave
