This is very true.
To me it felt like it was all only to "show off", gave me Best Korea vibes. It was bizarre seeing multiple luxurious malls nesr to each other and every single one was empty, but with every store open. At a friday/saturday night.
I also was served fake peking duck and almost got caught in the famous "fake injury" scam.
The beer was wirse than piss. Worst I've ever had.
Everybody had shitty rotten/darkened teeth, even cute gutes. It was unsettling.
I still had a good time.
