murmur is cool as shit, the little lore he has is about him showing up to places and destroying everything by just being there. people tried to worship him and he killed them all with a yawn, another group tried to weaponize him but one slip up led to him destroying their planet, and it leads to tbc with the horde trying to summon a demon but accidentally grabbing murmur instead so they're shitting their pants while desperately holding him in the spot you find him. he's fun
also in hearthstone he has the elemental tag so I guess that's what he is.

say what you will for tbc lore bending and breaking stuff for the sake of getting illidan to be the baddie, but you can't deny it was (at the time) the coolest shit a medieval fantasy game has done. an alien world to explore, sci fi tech like space ships and shit just being part of it, and just the overall theme of it being so unique from the typical fantasy stuff you'd expect. unfortunately blizzard overdid this over the years of expansions and now we really need to go back to typical high fantasy stuff, we have cosmic threats and void garbage constantly and it sucks. I loved the sci fi and alien stuff but only as a side piece, it's cooler when it just exists in a larger scope of predominantly fantasy things.
upside to the overuse of tbc-esque stuff in wow is that draenei have been in the spotlight several times!

oi vey, da laser requires fuel that exists only on argus and even then it's no where near the level of strength to destroy anything of value. you remember the size of the laser when you used it on argus? it's on the same level of power as the orbital laser from new vegas, it could incinerate a group of people or a hut but at the cost of a limited resource
