With your Holy Knight revitalized and your Mastermind pleased, you were given a rundown on what was in the papers.

Turns out that they were clean— for the most part. It takes her some time, but Ruby eventually gets to the main point of contention. It was a small detail hidden between lines of paper: That if a majority of the signees 'revoked' their signatures, they could effectively make it so that it would be illegal for you to advertise yourself as a Savant in any product you make, and that your products would need to specify that you were just a normal non-Savant person.

"Motherfuckers..." You said under your breath.

"They would likely float it over your head." Ruby said. "Although Ayane doubted they'd actually do anything with it, I must mention that the mere fact this clause exists was meant to put pressure on you, Master."

"The conclusion we came to was that those two gnomes attempted to threaten you with it." Gerty said.

"Mel and Ayane are still looking it over." Ruby mentioned. "I would do it myself, yet I assumed you would like to see my beauty and hear the tact of my tone, my gallant Master~" She wasn't half wrong. Though, you personally felt like Ayane might've done a better job summarizing.

"Sir! Know that I will stand beside you as injustice threatens you, economic or not. And I will defend you with my life, if need be!" Gerty said.

"The fuck are you on about?" You chided. "I already expect that of you. So why tell me what I already know?"

"Forgive me, Master!" Gerty said. "I shall make sure to express my loyalty through actions!"

"So now you don't want to support me with your words?" You give her a borderline playful sneer.

"Master, you just said-!"

"Are you putting the blame on me now?" You were having too much fun with this. "I can't say I'm surprised that a maso-bitch like yourself can't think far ahead." Gerty seemed to be enjoying herself too.

"Ahem." Ruby cleared her throat. "Master, if you'd allow it, I'd like to speak about the potential signatures we can procure." And she produced a small list, mostly consisting of people you knew.

Ayane and Mel eventually join with you, and they go over what they found. Ayane in particular asked to speak more in depth about the paperwork later.

As they went back to looking over the papers you considered getting Yumi up to have someone to talk to.

"Certain. DOOM!" Yumi reminded you.

You thought about it for a moment, and then decided to spin her crystal a few times. And, as much as Yumi tried to deny it through all her anger and promises of destruction, you could tell she was relieved that you still cared enough to bully her.

Anyway the rest of the airship ride was uneventful.
