If you like BG3 enough that you want to try playing Larian’s earlier games, don’t. DOS2 ruined BG3 for me, because it made me see that BG3 is literally just DOS2 reskinned with a mocap budget. It has the same bugs, the same story structure, the same subplots, the same inventory system, the same characters, the same animations and sprites and everything. They learned nothing in seven years and BG3 only blew up because it had D&D branding and a gooner AO3 mocap VN minigame.
