The bridges to Japan for an American are very few. Soon, the president may make this process easier than the bullshit it is. So here are the bridges known:

>Bachelor's degree and N2 JLPT progress requirement for the work visa
>Marriage visa
>Work at an international company and transfer to a Japanese location (for instance, McDonald's)
>Bachelor's degree to teach English in Japan
>Investor's visa for rich people

For almost all of these visas, you need to meet income requirements that scale with age. This means the older you get, the harder it becomes to move to Japan. Your parents should have been the ones helping you at a young age, taught about the MEXT Scholarship for example, but sadly Japanese isn't taught in many high schools. We're all on our own in this journey.

Here's the caveats:
>The n2 is gruesome and hard, requiring 3 years of education
>The bachelor's degree in America is expensive as all hell
>Trying to get out of the bachleor's degree requirement is also hell

Trump...please end this madness. Make it easier to achieve Nippon Ichi Banzai.
