In my opinion, if you have a friend or aquaintance who is trying to play a game or watch a movie blind, no matter what it is, it's a real rude move to include information about it in conversation, no matter what kind. However, I'm an online stranger, and there's many more online strangers watching. You couldn't possibly anticipate what games they want to play in the future and you don't have much reason to, either, since this is 4chan. I was joking, I want to play Majora's mask after I'm done with all the games that come before it in chronological order, so it was unfortunate to see information about it in your post.
I reacted negatively after you used the game's age as a counterargument. I find that argument surface level and vapid, as if games are meant to be consumed in waves as soon as they release, by everyone, and anyone who doesn't follow that pattern deserves punishment and isn't a real gamer. Yet, despite these implications, I hear and read that stupid argument too often, so I reacted strongly, sorry.
