You need to be patient and take the lead with him. He tends to mess up first dates pretty hard and has had his fair run of bad luck. Youre going to have to get out of your shell and do some heavy lifting and get out of your own head. He might try and take you to bed in the first date but if you refuse he might take offense. Say no, and if he sticks around then its all good and was worth it. Either way its gonna be awkward, but will get better with time
