This. It all clicked for me the other day and I finally realized what the whole alien thing (or at least a big portion of it) is about. I went down a rabbit hole about Jeff flying out scientists and looking into how Ghislaine apparently used to do stuff in submarines specifically in an area that has a lot of atlantis/ufo lore. That part about Epstein being tapped into the scientific community always bothered me. Why blackmail scientists? I would understand if it was tech espionage by Israel to get their hands on stuff we won't give them, but all the scientists he was hanging out with were the big name pop-sci ones, not the people who would have legit state secrets. That's when it hit me. What do you do with people you need to control, but they can't be blackmailed or bribed? You spin up a big story where the "right" things to do in the situation of that story are the things that you secretly want them to do.

>bring "top scientists" to see them and convince them they're real and that they're now entrusted with participating in this super secret govt program where they're the secret super good guy avengers A team
>target military/govt official who can't be blackmailed or bribed

>"We're entrusting you with this because we need your help and we know you're a solid guy"

Basically the whole UFO phenomena and it's adherents in the government appear totally bizarre to us because we're not the target audience. All these guys like Grusch or whoever aren't psyopping us, THEY'RE the ones being psyopped. Bluebeam already happened, it just didn't happen at a societal level, it happened internally within the govt.
