Again with this discussion. I still maintain that higher interest rates don't actually slow inflation down unless they cause private debt defaults. Otherwise, if the rate of default does not increase, high interest rates actually accelerate inflation. So if the debt keeps getting rolled over at the high/higher interest rates instead of being defaulted on, interest rates actually accelerate inflation.
