I think you need to sacrifice someone right as you are making the Horcrux or shortly before I think. IDK if he could pull it off if he was stabbed in the heart or even stunned then decapitated. Yes it would be fucked to kill him when he is down but he is too dangerous and deranged to live. He killed his own fucking kids for his insane plan and turned his wife's body into a monster because he couldn't let go.
Also, if going back in time isn't like a multidimensional/ multiple timeline thing, and he just goes back in this world line it is completely possible he will kill Elliot and all his friends in the past either out of spite or to keep us from interfering. He also knows about the Repository, Avalon, and where Atlantis is. Him going into this world's past with that knowledge would not be good. We would have insane God King Potter. Like imagine him going, getting a super body, then absorbing the repository's power, having releasing the Fey as a gun to the world's head. He would be worse than ArthurZar is since we stopped him from getting the Repository and he is still the most powerful wizard alive. With a super body that could harness that power, he could kill Elliot and possibly gain control over the Merlin Beast as well. It is too big of a risk to just hope he fucks up and self deletes.

If I am wrong a lot of people will die but fewer than if we do nothing or fight him with just 2 allies and fail. Every student here knew they were courting Death when they came. It leaves us with fewer resources to fight Sally unless we rush him if I am wrong but God King Dark Lord Potter scares me more.
