The Big West will be better for Sac State in everything other than football. Even if they can't move up to FBS now, they're setting themselves up as an easy option during the 2030 realignment.
As long as the Big Sky doesn't try something gay like prohibiting members from scheduling games against former members, they should be able to put together enough games with the FCS and DII teams in the region and some money games against FBS opponents like they already do. They'll probably continue having annual games against UC-Davis and Cal Poly.
