Oh, I fully agree.
In an ideal world, I would have loved for this to be better explored. Eventually ending up with Max just emotionally unleashing on Chloe how she actually feels, probably during the pool scene.
I have long felt that Max and Chloe being an official couple going into the final episodes would have made everything about episode 4 and 5 so much more impactful.

Absolutely. Especially since she is already friends with an open lesbian in BtS.
Her panicking her journal as she suddenly realises that she is not into guys would have been a joy to see.
Given the demographics of the fanbase of these types of games, I'm sure also pretty relatable for most of us.
