This is my real gripe with it. Whether it was brodozers with soccer ball sized exhausts or shit heap TDI jetta with a hood stack, they were extremely obnoxious about modifying the emissions hardware and fuel map of their rides. The best thing you can do to actually own a diesel long term is violating (american) federal code and defeat the emission hardware, and it used to be fairly easy to find shops to do it, find fabricators to mail you parts and tuners, and to register you vehicle in most places that aren't California. Being the exhaust version of the harely fags from South Park drew all kinds of attention to it, so that now virtually no one will sell tunes that set readiness, several companies no longer import parts, more states implemented visual/opacity tests on diesels, and few mechanics are willing to risk a huge EPA fine for modifying exhaust. (However, since January that has started to shift a little bit. I know of two garages that are pretty open about deleting now).

Well hopefully, it is my firm believe that beer and wine are a gift from god by fermentation but human hybris created spirits and actually theyre the fucking devil.
